WHAT MAKES SNORKELING THE BEST IN KEY WEST?

Key West is a very popular snorkeling destination as we are home to North America’s only living coral barrier reef. The reef is protected by Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and is home to over 500 species of fish and an abundance or corals. Fury also supports local reef restoration efforts by donating a portion of every snorkel ticket to Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary.

WHERE WILL I BE SNORKELING?

The Captain will choose the best reef destination for snorkeling based on the marine conditions of the day. There are several possible reef locations you may visit: Sand Key, Rock Key, Eastern Dry Rocks and Western Sambo, just to name a few.

DO YOU PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO SNORKEL?

Our experienced and CPR certified Fury crew will give you detailed instructions as you sail out to the Living Coral Reef. They will go over the best practices and safe snorkel procedures for your time at the reef.

WHAT EQUIPMENT IS PROVIDED?

We will provide you with a mask, snorkel and buoyancy compensator and fins for snorkeling. You are more than welcome to bring your own gear if you wish.

DO YOU PROVIDE WETSUITS?

Wetsuits are available seasonally with limited sizing (cash or credit).

WHAT WILL WE SEE ON THE TOUR?

We are very lucky that so many days here in Key West look exactly like the beautiful photos and video you see on our website & other marketing materials. However, you should be aware that all of our water adventures are outdoors and influenced by Mother Nature. Many days underwater visibility is 80+ feet and teeming with sea life; others are not. Though we hope that every day is perfect, we are not in control of the wind, waves, clouds, rain or underwater sea life. If we are aware of any concerning factors regarding conditions, we will make an announcement before your trip departs. At that time, you may elect to take the tour, reschedule or receive a refund.

HOW LONG IS THE BOAT RIDE TO THE REEF?

The total snorkel trip time is 3 hours. Guests will enjoy about an hour to sun and relax as we sail out to reef, approximately an hour of reef snorkeling and about another hour sail back to Key West.

IS THERE SHADE ON THE BOAT?

Yes, but the space is limited in the shaded areas.

Where do we Snorkel?

We could go to Cebico Island or Coiba island. Mostly unless agreed upon by all we go to the largest island in North America! Coiba island is the largest but that’s not the only spot we travel to. With hundreds of additional surrounding islands imagine all the best exclusive beaches coiba islands & panama provides. We’re on an adventure! We go where you want to go! In Santa Catalina, we're fortunate that many days look as beautiful as the photos and videos shared in our marketing materials. However, since our water adventures are entirely outdoors, they are subject to nature’s unpredictability. Some days, you’ll enjoy 80+ feet of underwater visibility with thriving marine life, while other days might not be as ideal. While we hope for perfect conditions every day, we can't control the weather or sea life. If any concerning conditions arise, we’ll make an announcement prior to departure, giving you the option to proceed, reschedule, or get a refund.
HOW LONG IS THE BOAT RIDE TO THE REEF?

The Boat ride to Coiba island is roughly 60-75 Minutes, Depending on the wave conditions but also most importantly depending on the wild life we see on the way. Many times dolphins or during season of whales we stop and go to witness the different whale activities.
